ASE - National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. ASE was founded in 1972 as an independent, non-profit organization with a single mission: To improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians. ASE also communicates its message to consumers, the media and various other publics to promote informed decision making when seeking automotive repairs. HDDA - The Heavy Duty Distribution Association
The Heavy Duty Distribution Association (HDDA) serves aftermarket distributors and manufacturers of parts and services for commercial vehicles in North America. While it specializes in the needs of the heavy duty aftermarket, it also benefits from the support and services of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), the much larger parent association.

NATM - National Assoc. of Trailer Mainufacturers
The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers formed in 1987 as the National Association of Livestock Trailer Manufacturers, but soon realized that all trailer manufacturers share common concerns and problems. The association represents manufacturers who produce trailers weighing less than 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. These trailers are constructed of aluminum, steel, and combinations of both, and are towed as a bumper pull or by a gooseneck coupler.

NHTSA - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), under the U.S. Department of Transportation, was established by the Highway Safety Act of 1970, as the successor to the National Highway Safety Bureau, to carry out safety programs under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 and the Highway Safety Act of 1966.

NPTC - National Private Truck Council
The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) is the national trade association dedicated exclusively to representing private motor carrier fleets. These corporate or "private" truck fleets are operated by manufacturers, distributors, processors, and retailers to meet their inbound and outbound transportation needs. Such fleets also include food, retail, wholesale, construction and service companies.

NTSB - National Transportation Safety Board
The National Transportation Safety Board is an independent Federal agency that investigates every civil aviation accident in the United States and significant accidents in the other modes of transportation, conducts special investigations and safety studies, and issues safety recommendations to prevent future accidents. Safety Board investigators are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
